What a Discord bot stack actually costs in 2026
Most servers pay four subscriptions to get one set of features. Here are the real numbers.
2026-09-06
A server that wants levelling, moderation and real analytics does not buy one bot. It buys three or four, and pays for each of them, every month, per server.
Here is what the market actually charges, checked on 6 September 2026.
| Bot | Monthly | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| MEE6 | $11.99 | Levelling, moderation. AI is a separate subscription. |
| Carl-bot | $7.99 | Levelling, moderation. $24.99 covers five servers. |
| Arcane | $7.00 | Levelling, moderation. Voice XP is premium-only. |
| Statbot | ~$6.00 | Statistics. The free tier stops at 30 days. |
| Dyno | $5.00 | Moderation. $10 adds custom branding. |
The stack, not the bot
Nobody runs one of these. The common combination is MEE6 for levelling, Statbot for history and Dyno for moderation depth, which is about $23 a month - and that stack still cannot run a watch party from the Plex library you already run, cannot start your Minecraft server, and has no game in it.
Two things that make it worse than the sticker price
Almost all of it is per server. Running a main server and an overflow means paying twice. Carl-bot is the exception, with movable slots.
The free tiers stop exactly where the value starts. Statbot free caps lookback at 30 days, which means the question you actually want to ask - is this server growing? - is the one you cannot answer. Arcane charges for voice XP. MEE6 charges separately for AI.
What we did about it
Asbern is one subscription at $12 a month per server, with every feature switched on: levelling, economy, moderation, automod, tickets, statistics going back years, watch parties, game server control, and a full Pokemon game.
That is the price of MEE6 alone, for roughly half of what the stack costs, plus three capabilities nothing in the table above sells at any price.
Two of those three are integrations rather than hosting, and that is the honest reason nobody else sells them: the watch parties play the Plex library you already run and the server controls drive the game servers you already host. We supply no media and host nothing. Every other feature in that list works with no hardware at all.
There is a seven day free trial, and there is no higher tier - if a feature exists in the bot, your subscription includes it.
