Appeals
Members ask your staff to reconsider a warning, timeout, kick, quarantine, voice ban or category removal from their own profile, and see the verdict there.
Appeals let a member ask your staff to look again at something done to them, from their own profile. Staff answer when they close it, and the member sees the verdict on the same row.

Appeals
The Appeals row is on /menu › Profile › Settings. It opens a list of your own actions that still stand — a warning, a timeout, a kick, a quarantine, a removal from a category or a voice ban — each with its own Appeal button. A ban is never on that list: a member who can open the menu here is not banned. A ban is appealed from the Appeal button on the private message it sent them: the appeal goes to staff alone, and the answer comes back to that message.
Each action can be appealed once, within 30 days of it. An appeal you have sent shows where it is on its row, and with nothing to appeal the screen says so in one line. A member who is timed out can also appeal from the private message the timeout sent them.
For Staff
Your appeal was accepted
An appeal opens as a ticket, so staff talk it through in a private channel like any other ticket. When staff close that ticket, the bot asks for a verdict instead of closing it plainly:
- Accept — the case is voided, so it stops counting. A timeout ends at once, a voice ban stops applying and a quarantine role comes off. A removal from a category stops barring them from rejoining it, but the bot does not put them back in.
- Reduce — a timeout or a voice ban gets a shorter end, measured from now. Nothing else can be shortened.
- Reject — the case stands, and the member is told.
- Close — no verdict, for an appeal that was withdrawn or is not about the case.
A verdict never unbans anybody and never gives a role back: an accepted ban appeal voids the case, and unbanning is a separate act staff do by hand. Nobody decides their own appeal — a member of staff who appealed can only withdraw it. The member sees the verdict on their Appeals row, and in a private message unless their messages are closed.
For Admins
Appeals are on by default. They open as tickets, so they work once tickets are switched on with at least one category — until then a member's Appeals row is dimmed and says staff have not set appeals up yet. The Appeals row under /menu › Other › Admin › Moderation › Tickets is the switch: with it off, members see the button greyed out with the reason, and appeals already filed keep their tickets. Categories on that screen can mark one ticket category as the one appeals open in.
