Most stat bots show the last 30 days. Asbern keeps everything and shows it at three levels.

What is measured

• Messages, per member, per channel, per day and per hour.
• Voice, both connected minutes and engaged minutes.
• Joins and leaves, so growth and retention are real numbers.
• Watch time, where watch parties are used.

The three levels

Global - how the whole network is doing. Deliberately coarse: no server is named and no member is named, because you should not learn anything about somebody else server by visiting a public page.

Server - everything about one server: leaderboards, per-channel breakdowns, hour-of-day heatmaps, weekday shape, growth and retention. You see this for the servers you are actually in, established by signing in with Discord.

Member - one person activity, standing and shape. Members of a server can see each other, because that is what a leaderboard is. People outside it see nothing.

Where the numbers are honest about themselves

Two things are worth knowing, and the product says both on screen rather than hiding them:

• Voice changed meaning at the cutover. Older data records connected minutes; newer data records engaged minutes, which runs about 85% of connected. Charts plot connected as the primary line because it is the one column that means the same thing across the whole archive, and show engaged only over the range where it was actually measured.
• The hour dimension has a real gap of eighteen days around the cutover. The card names the window it is missing rather than printing a reassuring line over a hole.

A statistic that quietly changes definition is worse than one that admits a gap.
