Music in Voice

Music plays your own Plex music into the voice channel you are in. Your Asbern box does the playing, from your Plex library: Asbern supplies no music and streams nothing itself.

For Members

Open /menu › Community › Watch › Music while you are in a voice channel.

• Search your server's Plex music and add songs to the queue.
• Vote skip: once half of the people listening have voted, the song is skipped.
• A small now-playing card sits in the channel's chat while music plays. Its Add a song button opens your own private screen to queue a song, its Vote skip casts your vote, and the card pings nobody.
• The voice channel shows what is playing under its name, where Voice status is on.
• My Spotify queues the song you are listening to on Spotify, from your server's Plex when it has a match: it reads your own Spotify listening status once, when you press it, and stores nothing. Where this bot cannot see listening statuses, the button is not drawn, and the screen says why.

Pause, Stop and the volume are for admins: members see them dimmed.

For Admins

• Music in /menu › Other › Admin › Media switches it on or off for your server. When it is on but cannot play, the row says why.
• It needs your box online with Plex linked and a music library in Plex. Your box's card shows whether it can play music yet.
• Admins skip, pause, stop and change the volume from the same screen.

What it Costs

Nothing. Asbern is free: every feature on this page is included in every server, and no card is needed.
