Verification
A gate new members pass before they see the server — a button or an image check, rules to accept first, and forms members fill in to apply for a role.
Verification holds new members at one channel until they prove they are a person, and can ask them to accept your rules first. The same panel carries forms members fill in to apply for a role.

The Gate
Verify to get in
Everything is under /menu › Other › Admin › Moderation › Verify, over two pages.
- Setup chooses the strategy, the role it uses, the one channel unverified members can see, the channel where the bot warns staff when it cannot hold the gate, and how members prove themselves: a button press, or an image challenge that is harder for scripts (it is still not a captcha).
- Arm switches the gate on and off. Armed, it holds every new member until they verify; disarmed, the gate stops at once.
- Rules writes your rules, up to 4,000 characters, and switches on the step where members accept them before verifying. Changing the text asks new members to accept the new version.
- Panel posts the card unverified members press — in the verification channel unless you pick another — or refreshes the one already there.
- Sweep lists who is inside without ever passing the gate: members who joined while the bot was offline, and members who wear the verified role with no verification recorded. It reports and changes nobody.
Verification is off until an admin sets it up and arms it, and a server that never did lets new members straight in.
The Two Strategies
Grant access is the recommended one. In it, @everyone can see only the verification channel, and the verified role is what opens the rest of the server. If the bot cannot give that role, the member stays out, so it fails closed.
Quarantine role works the other way round: @everyone can see the server, and a quarantine role given on joining hides it until they verify. It needs no change to your existing channels, but if the role cannot be given the member is already in, so it fails open. Setup asks for a backstop for that case: time them out (recommended, and reversible), kick them, or only alert staff.
Applications
Applications, on the second page, makes forms members fill in from the verification panel to apply for a role — a moderator application, say. Each form has a short name, the name members see, up to five questions, the review channel applications arrive in, who may accept or reject (admins always may), and the role an accept gives. A form opens once it has a review channel, and each open form is a row on the panel, so refresh the panel with Panel after you change one.

A member's answers are kept with the application so reviewers can refer back to them. Messages members post in channels are not stored.
What it Costs
