Your Server’s Currency

Every server has one currency. Members earn it by taking part and spend it in the casino, the Tycoon and the rest of the bot. An admin decides what it is called; nobody, admins included, can hand any of it out.

Naming It

/menu › Other › Admin › Economy › Currency sets three things, and the form opens on what is saved:

• Singular name — up to 24 characters. Blank means Buck.
• Symbol — up to 4 characters. Blank means $. It may not end in a digit, so an amount can never be misread.
• Plural — up to 24 characters. Blank means the name with an s.

It changes how money reads and nothing else: no balance moves. The answer shows a sample amount in the new style, and every card in the server uses it from then on.

Where the Money Comes From

• Messages — $10 a message, at most three paid messages a minute and a ceiling each day, so spam earns nothing extra.
• Voice — $6 for every minute you spend in voice with somebody else, up to a ceiling each day.
• Counting — 10 of the server's money for each correct number in a counting game; above six numbers a minute the same pay is shared out. See Counting.
• Watch parties — per hour watched, where your server has linked its own Plex.
• The Daily — a bonus from the first button on the General tab.
• Challenges, the server goal and the season — a payout when each one lands.
• The Tycoon — income from the assets you own.
• The casino — whatever you win.
• Another member — whatever they send you with Send money on your public card.

A No-XP channel pays no chat or voice money either. During a Double Money Weekend and the other events that double earnings, chat and voice pay double, though casino winnings do not. Each prestige tier multiplies what you earn by taking part.

Money History

The first row on the Economy screen shows one member's money history: their cash now, then their last movements in and out, up to 40, newest first, each with what it was for and when. It reads and changes nothing. Pick the member and how many to show; it opens on 20.

What Nobody Can Do

• Grant, take or edit a balance. Not an admin, not the server owner, not us. No control in the console writes to a member's money, because a number somebody can type is one nobody can trust.
• Buy it with real money. There is nothing to buy, and no top-up.

What it Costs

Nothing. Asbern is free: every feature on this page is included in every server, and no card is needed.
