Counting

A channel where members count up one number at a time — one game per category, added from the category's Settings, and the count never resets.

Counting is a channel where members count upwards together, one number each. The count only ever climbs: a mistake is deleted, and nothing ever sends it back to the start.

A Counting Channel

  • Post the next number. A correct one gets the bot's 💰 reaction, and the count moves on.
  • A wrong number is deleted, and the count stays where it was. Deleting needs the bot to have Manage Messages in the channel.
  • The same person cannot count twice in a row; that message is deleted too.
  • Anything that is not a number is left alone, so the channel can still be chatted in.
  • Nothing ever resets, so the count itself is the channel's high score.

If the last counted number is deleted, or edited into something else, the bot posts one line saying so and naming the next number, and an edited one loses its 💰. The count does not move.

To judge each number the bot reads the messages in a counting channel, and it keeps the count, never what anyone wrote.

Money for Counting

Each correct number earns 10 of the server's money. Above six numbers a minute, across all of the server's counting channels, the same amount is shared between the numbers instead, so counting faster earns nothing extra. The count itself is never slowed, capped or refused.

Adding a Counting Game

Every category can have one counting game, and each game keeps its own count: a new counting channel starts at 1. A category's Curators, and admins, add or remove it from that category's Settings › Add channels, opened from /menu › General › Access: Counting is one of its rows.

Removing a counting channel the bot made asks once: Keep switches the game off and leaves the channel, Delete removes the channel. Either way the count is kept — add Counting to that category again and it carries on from where it was.

What it Costs

Nothing. Asbern is free: every feature on this page is included in every server, and no card is needed.
