Reminders

A reminder is a note to yourself that the bot delivers later, by private message or in a channel you pick. Your list is private: nobody else can see it.

Setting One

/menu › Other › Reminders shows the reminders you have set, each with its own Cancel. New reminder asks three things:

• When — a time from now, written like 30m, 2h, 3d or 1w: anything from 30 seconds to three years.
• How — a private message, or posted in a channel you pick.
• What — the note, in your own words, up to 500 characters.

You can hold up to 25 at once; cancel one to make room. A reminder arrives once and then leaves the list.

When it Arrives

A reminder set for a channel is posted there if the channel still exists and you can still see it; otherwise it comes to you as a private message instead. If it cannot be delivered at all — your private messages from the server are closed, say — your Reminders screen says so for a week, so you are not left thinking it was sent.

The card it arrives on carries a snooze row: 10 min, 1 hour or Tomorrow. Only the person who set the reminder can press it, for a day after it arrives, and the same reminder comes back at the new time.

For Admins

Reminders are on from the start. Reminders, under /menu › Other › Admin › Engagement, switches them off and on for the whole server.

What it Costs

Nothing. Asbern is free: every feature on this page is included in every server, and no card is needed.
