Giveaways

A giveaway is a card the bot posts in a channel with an Enter button. When time runs out the bot draws the winners at random and asks each one to claim. The prize is yours to hand over: a game key, a role, a shout-out — whatever you wrote.

Starting One

/menu › Other › Admin › Economy › Giveaway asks:

• Channel — where the card goes.
• What they win — in your own words. The bot does not deliver it; you do.
• Winners — 1 to 50. One if you leave it.
• Runs for — from a minute to 90 days, written like 2h or 3d.
• Claim window — how long a winner has to claim. 24 hours if you leave it.
• Must have role, Minimum level and Minimum account age — optional rules for who may enter. An account age such as 30d keeps brand-new alt accounts out.
• Bonus entries for and Extra tickets — a role whose members get extra tickets in the draw, up to 50.

While it Runs

• Members press Enter on the card. A member the rules leave out is told which rule.
• Pressing it again does not enter anybody twice, and the admin who started it cannot enter it.
• The card shows how many have entered and when it ends, in each reader's own time.

The Draw and the Claim

When time is up the bot picks the winners at random from everyone who entered, bonus tickets counted, and the card names them. Each winner is pinged in the channel and sent a message with a link back to the giveaway, where they press Claim so you know to hand the prize over. A winner who does not claim before the window closes loses it.

Cancelling and Rerolling

• /menu › Other › Admin › Economy › Cancel stops a giveaway that has not drawn yet. Every entry is dropped, the reason you give is shown on the card, and it cannot be undone.
• /menu › Other › Admin › Economy › Reroll replaces a winner who never claimed, or whose window lapsed. A new winner is drawn at random from the other entrants and pinged; the old winner loses the prize. A claimed prize is never rerolled, and one giveaway can be rerolled at most ten times.

Both show you what they would do first, and act only once you confirm.

What it Costs

Nothing. Asbern is free: every feature on this page is included in every server, and no card is needed.
