Levelling and roles
XP from messages and voice, a rank ladder, and role rewards done as access.
Members earn XP for talking and for being in voice. You configure the rate, the channels that count, and what happens at each rank.
What you can set
- Rates for messages and voice, and the cooldown between awards.
- Blocked channels and roles that earn nothing. This is asked first and is absolute: a no-XP channel pays nothing to anyone, including boosters.
- Notices: where level-ups are announced, or whether they are.
- Roles: which Discord roles the server hands out, and the role-icon category.
The booster bonus
There is exactly one XP modifier: +10% for Discord server boosters, one switch, off by default. It is not typeable and not per-role.
Who counts as a booster is asked of Discord, never of a role you configure - because a role an admin hands out is a role an admin could pay XP with.
What was removed on purpose
The reward-ladder editor that granted roles as progression is gone. A role handed out as access is fine and stays; a role handed out as a reward is progression wearing a role costume. If you configured one before, its runtime still pays out - only the editor went.
